Just got the Mino HD so I took a walk around my Manhattan neighborhood. The camera is so small and light that it's hard to make a smooth pan or tilt - next time I take the monopod. This was edited with FLIP software and made a 2:44 min, 410meg wmv file which I compressed to a 36meg .mov in Sorenson. You can see that file at www.nycpaul.com/xmaswalk.mov If I can work on controlling the MINO's movement I think it's worth the $220+. But what really made it worth while is that I connected my laptop to my HDTV set by a VGA cable and was able to play the master .wmv back full screen from the laptop. That's important because the cable that comes with the MINO HD does NOT feed an HD signal into an HDTV set. The cable feeds a simple composite video with stereo audio. Such a waste. However, if you make your laptop resolution 1280x768 which is close enough to 1280x720 then you can use VGA out from the laptop to the VGA in of your HDTV set to play back the home HD movies.
